Shopping around for good gaming laptops can be quite the chore as you are not necessarily looking for the same component set that you would be if you were seeking a laptop that you would use strictly for school or office work.  That being the case, you are going to need to find something that is lightening fast with high end components that will not wear down with the constant usage.

Another reason that this is one of the best laptops for gaming is because of the size of the screen.  A massive 17 inch screen allows you to see the action just as easily as you could with a desktop.  The Dual Nvidia GeForce GTX 280M Graphics only adds to the pleasure of the best gaming laptops available.

Alienware has long been known as one of the top producers of gaming laptops, but they have definitely outdone themselves with this model.  In addition to all of the standard features that are common in an Alienware laptop, this one is loaded with extra ports for just about any connectivity that you can imagine. There is no longer the need for spiders or towers for extra USB ports.  You should be able to attach everything that you need directly to the computer and avoid the lag or disconnect that sometimes happens when you use those other devices.

If there is a drawback to this computer it would be battery life and weight.  Battery life is typical of a machine that often boasts of 4-6 hours and then disappoints with only an hour or two.  While this is an issue you face with most laptops, it does not make it any less disappointing to have to deal with when you are in the middle of a gaming session.  The computer is also a little heavy, but that is to be expected with the components that it features.  This is not a netbook by any means, but a tricked out machine that will give you the gaming experience of a lifetime.

While the price may be a little steep, in gaming, you get what you pay for.  If you want to find good gaming laptops, you need look no further than Alienware.  If the price tag on this machine is a little too steep for you, try one of the many other models that they offer.  You may not get the same experience, but it will be one that will not disappoint.
